Let Yourself Be Free

Sometimes it is ok to not have all the answer, to fail, to feel tired or simple not great.

Let Yourself Be Free

The Daily Haiku for April 21. Let yourself be you.

Let yourself be free,
... to not have all the answers,
... to be imperfect.

I am a perfectionist. I am not sure if it is a positive thing or not. On the one hand, that makes me be very picky when it comes to the stuff I do. From my business to what I write, compose, design, code, or make.

However, being a perfectionist can lead to a range of issues, including procrastination, anxiety, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, and lack of flexibility. It's great to strive for excellence and have high standards, but also to recognize when those standards are becoming unreasonable or damaging to one's well-being.

In a way, I always want to prove to myself that I can do whatever I set my mind on.

In my case, sometimes I need to remind me that it is ok to not being able to do stuff, to not have all the answers, or to be tired or simply incapable of doing something sometimes. Imperfection is indeed beautiful in music, in nature, in art... So why are we so obsessed with perfection?

Let's kindly allow ourselves to be imperfect, to be free.
