Drowning by numbers is one of my favorite films by Peter Greenaway. The soundtrack is from Michael Nyman, one of my favorite composers.

Drowning by numbers is a strange film that explores the human nature, desires, fears, good, and evil. I love it, and the soundtrack perfectly captures this impossible duality between what's supposed to be good or socially accepted, what is wrong or taboo, expectations and reality.

One very cool aspect of the movie is that the numbers from 1 to 100 appear in sequence during the film, either visually or spoken by the characters.
